Decent animation overall, not great like others but I think for the kind of series it is, it may have been the best option. The song was also pretty decent and I haven’t heard opening themes like that in quite a while… very refreshing.

The animation was indeed different and it worked quite well. I actually preferred this song over the opening theme, have no idea why through haha!

Opinion

I was very wary of this series before watching it since it did seem like the whole Student Council life thing that we have seen in many other anime before, however despite the fact that, as they even claim in the opening segment “An anime that takes place in a single room goes only in the Sunday evening slot!“, it isn’t actually a boring watch and I find it quite comical. For one thing, they seem to parody many different series such as The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Which is classified as banned material on their show), Lucky Star (Via a mock opening) and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (Only to be claimed that Umineko is now the trend) to name a few. Is always funny having other series mentioned comedically in another show. Secondly, and I am so glad this has happened…… they have a main male character…. WHO IS NOT PERVERTED AND A LOSER! Instead he is someone who used them to get to the top of the school in order to convert the entire student council into his harem. Very different and I think it might actually prove some worthwhile watching. Personally it is also funny how in the beginning they take a particular comment from Amazon.com and read it out which states about the light novels “All the volumes are the same. It’s like there’s no plot.”, so at least they can poke fun at themselves as well!

Graphically wise…. most of the scenes take place in the one room with the only other locations really being at the shoe lockers. Nothing bad with that as it is the series however at least they have the whiteboard which occasionally has different text on it, the occasional costume that leaves nothing to the imagination et cetera et cetera. Overall, no complaints about designs. Character designs and emotions are also pretty well done. Music is mostly simple stuff and is kind of average however the voice acting is pretty good in my opinion to make up for it.

Overall, I am pretty pleased with this and I will be blogging a few more episodes of this at the very least…. unless it gets old and repetitive quickly. Also I must appologise for any average screenshots…. there were some problems taking them which should not be evident in future episodes. The only question left to be asked is…. will Keiichi Ken get his perfect Harem end?
